Potassium Permanganate 44.95% KMnO4 : universal antiseptic and micro-fertilizer.
A weak solution of potassium permanganate is a classic and reliable way to protect seeds from pests and fungal spores overwintering on them. That is why, before planting, it is customary to keep seeds and seed tubers in such a solution for 30 minutes (0.5 g of substance per 100 ml of water).

Benefits for the garden:
Thanks to the presence of manganese and potassium, potassium permanganate is an excellent addition to boric acid. This combination creates an effective foliar feeding for garden strawberries, currants, blueberries, raspberries, and gooseberries. It is best to carry out such feeding in early spring.
Plants that respond particularly well to fertilizers with these elements: apple trees, cherries, cabbage, peas, beans, beets, and potatoes.
A weak solution of potassium permanganate is successfully used as a therapeutic agent against fungal diseases: garden strawberries can thus be saved from gray mold (Botrytis), and tomatoes from late blight (Phytophthora).

Instructions for use:

  • Seed disinfection: soak seeds for 24 hours in a solution (2 g of preparation per 10 L of water) OR for 30 minutes in a concentrated solution (2 g per 1 L) followed by mandatory rinsing with clean water.
  • Complex pre-sowing treatment: mix 1 L of water, 0.1-0.3 g of boric acid, 0.5-1.0 g of potassium permanganate, 0.5-1.0 g of ammonium molybdate, 0.3-0.5 g of methylene blue, 0.1-0.5 g of copper sulfate, 0.2-0.5 g of zinc sulfate. Prepare as much solution as needed to completely immerse the seeds.
  • Soil treatment (greenhouses): water the beds before planting with a hot solution (+50+60°C) at a rate of 2 g per 10 L of water.
  • Foliar feeding: spraying with a solution (2-5 g of preparation per 10 L of water), possibly in combination with other microelements.
  • Disease treatment:
    - Against powdery mildew (strawberries, cucumbers, melons): 1.5 g per 10 L of water.
    - For seedlings and tomatoes (watering): 1 g per 10 L of water (3 times with an interval of 3 weeks).
    - Against mucous bacteriosis (cabbage): watering during growth.
    - Against root rot: soaking seedling roots before planting.

Household use: used for medical purposes as an antiseptic and antibacterial agent, as well as for washing and sterilizing surfaces and instruments.

Attention: potassium permanganate is not recommended for internal use. Avoid contact of crystals and concentrated solution with exposed skin to avoid burns and allergic reactions.
